Internships

We offer an internship program, in partnership with Washington State University to provide a few pre-veterinary students each semester with a unique opportunity! They learn animal husbandry, medical care, behavioral training, and general farmed animal management.

Blackbird’s Animal Care Internship was educational and memorable. This internship provided a unique experience for learning new skills and knowledge. Opportunities like these are not found often. Some of my highlights include hoof trims, avian veterinary care, and learning the parts to livestock physical exams. As an intern, Jenna went above and beyond to share her incredible wealth of knowledge. Whenever I had a question or needed clarification, Jenna was always very supportive in my learning. This opportunity has opened so many doors in my life to develop new skills and relationships. I cannot recommend this internship enough!
